SDX and CCA launch eSignature solution for the Home Credit industry
Like many sectors, COVID-19 is proving a significant challenge for the home credit industry and its customers – a situation that’s unlikely to change until well into 2021.
Over summer, Secure Digital Exchange (SDX) worked closely with the Consumer Credit Organisation, the trade association representing the home credit industry in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland, to develop a solution tailored for the Home Credit industry that would prove cost-effective, secure yet easy-to-use for both CCA members and, most importantly, their customers.
Road-tested by CCA member companies over the past three months, CCA Digital has proven its worth, with application forms and contracts often signed and returned within minutes of being sent to customers.
Dan Cockle, Chairman of the CCA's Digital Technology Committee, has been trialling the system for the last three months:
"The 'CCA Digital' platform enables members to send all the paperwork for a loan digitally, eliminating the need to visit the customer in their home to get documents signed. Our customers receive a simple text message which links them seamlessly through to their documents, ready for signature."
"Once signed, the digital paperwork is returned to us automatically, ready for the transfer of funds."
"Our biggest concern was making sure the process was easy enough for our customers to be able to use, but their feedback has been brilliant!"
Andy Barlow, CTO at SDX, explained that the process had been a thorough one:
"Over the summer we worked closely with the CCA to come up with a solution that would work for all members and their customers; we made sure that the solution was secure, cost-effective and most importantly, easy-to-use for both CCA members and their customers."
"We're delighted to say that there is no sign-up fee involved: CCA Digital works on a simple 'cost-per-loan' basis, making it affordable for lenders of all sizes."
